LaLa loved to climb. Every tall tree in the forest felt like an adventure waiting just for her. On a bright morning, with sunlight shining through the leaves, she spotted her favorite tree and hurried over, excitement in every step.
Up she went—higher and higher—gripping each branch with confidence. Below, her best friend BiBi watched with a smile. “Be careful, LaLa!” BiBi called out gently. But LaLa only laughed, full of energy and fearless as ever.
Suddenly, a branch cracked.
Before LaLa could react, her grip slipped, and down she tumbled. Leaves scattered as she landed softly on the ground with a small thud. For a moment, everything was still.
“LaLa!” BiBi cried, rushing over as fast as she could.
LaLa blinked, a little stunned. “I… I think I’m okay,” she said quietly, trying to sit up. Her arm felt sore, and her heart was still racing from the fall.
BiBi knelt beside her, eyes full of worry. “Don’t move too fast,” she said softly. “Let me check.” She looked over LaLa carefully, making sure there were no serious injuries. Seeing that LaLa could move and wasn’t badly hurt, BiBi let out a relieved sigh.
“You scared me,” BiBi admitted, helping LaLa sit comfortably against the tree.
“I scared myself too,” LaLa said, giving a small, sheepish smile.
They sat together for a while, letting the moment pass. The forest slowly returned to its cheerful sounds, as if nothing had happened.
After a bit, BiBi spoke again. “Maybe next time, I’ll climb with you. Just in case.”
LaLa nodded. “And maybe I’ll go a little slower.”
They both laughed softly, reminded that even in scary moments, having someone who cares makes all the difference.
