Subi was a playful little monkey with a heart full of curiosity and a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. She lived with her father in a quiet part of the forest, where trees whispered secrets to the wind and birds sang lullabies to the sky. Her father, a strong and protective monkey, always kept a close eye on her. But Subi’s tiny feet and wild imagination often led her to places he warned her to avoid.
One sunny morning, after finishing her breakfast of sweet bananas, Subi noticed something in the distance — a soft, wet patch of brown glistening in the sunlight. It was mud! Thick, squishy, wonderful mud. She had seen the older monkeys jump in it before, splashing and sliding around with laughter. Her little heart couldn’t resist.
While her father was busy gathering fruits, Subi tiptoed away. With each quiet step, she moved further from the safety of home and closer to her muddy adventure. As soon as she reached the patch, she squealed with joy and jumped in with all her might. SPLASH! Mud flew everywhere — on her face, her arms, even in her ears. She rolled, danced, and giggled uncontrollably.

But while Subi played, her father noticed she was missing. Panic set in. He searched through the trees, calling her name with worry in his voice. Meanwhile, Subi was deep in her muddy fun, unaware that she had strayed too far.
Finally, he spotted her — a muddy ball of joy splashing in the middle of the mess. “Subi!” he shouted. She froze. Her smile faded for a moment, but then she looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes and said, “Just playing, Daddy!”
Though he was upset and worried, her muddy face and genuine happiness softened his heart. He sighed, walked over, and gently picked her up. “You must tell me before you go anywhere,” he said. Subi nodded and hugged him tightly, smearing more mud on his chest.
As they walked back home, Subi promised to listen next time. But deep down, her heart still danced with muddy dreams, waiting for the next adventure.
