Deep in the peaceful jungle village, little baby monkey Lily was playing happily with her friends Leo, Rainbow, and Libby. The morning sun peeked through the tall trees, and the air was filled with laughter. Lily was the youngest and most playful of the group—always climbing too high, jumping too far, and giggling as her friends tried to keep up.
But this morning, something unexpected happened. Lily was chasing a bright butterfly when she slipped on a wet leaf and tumbled down a small hill. “Oh no! Help!” cried Lily, her tiny voice trembling. She wasn’t hurt badly, but her little leg was sore, and she couldn’t get up by herself.
Hearing her cry, Leo the clever monkey and Rainbow the gentle one ran as fast as they could. “Lily! Are you okay?” shouted Leo, peering down from a branch. Libby, the oldest and calmest of the group, carefully climbed down to reach her. “Don’t worry, little one. We’re here,” she said softly, brushing the dirt from Lily’s fur.
Together, they lifted Lily and carried her to their favorite resting spot near the big banana tree. Rainbow brought fresh leaves to make a soft bed, while Leo searched for some sweet fruit to cheer her up. Libby gently checked her leg—it was just a small sprain. “You’ll be jumping again soon,” she smiled.
As the sun began to set, the jungle glowed golden and peaceful again. Lily looked at her friends and smiled through her tears. “Thank you, everyone… I was so scared,” she whispered. Leo hugged her. “That’s what friends are for!” he said proudly.
That night, under the twinkling stars, Lily fell asleep surrounded by her friends. It had been a scary day, but she learned something very special—that love, kindness, and friendship are the best kinds of help anyone can have.
And from that day on, whenever little Lily saw a butterfly, she still chased it—but only after making sure her friends were nearby.
