The baby monkeys head got stuck in a tree branch, and his mom was very worried

Leaping from one branch to another, Kiki discovered a strange-looking tree with twisting branches unlike any he’d seen before. They were thick, curly, and tightly packed together — like a puzzle made of wood. To Kiki, it looked like the perfect playground.

With a cheeky grin, he climbed up and tried to squeeze through a narrow gap between two branches. But as he pushed his head through, something unexpected happened — he couldn’t pull it back out. The twisty branches, once inviting, now held him tight. Kiki wriggled and pulled, but the more he struggled, the more stuck he became.

Panic began to rise in his little chest. He called out, his tiny voice echoing through the forest. “Mom! Mom! Help me!” His cries sent birds fluttering from the trees, and nearby monkeys paused in alarm.

Back at their tree, Momo heard her son’s cries. Her heart skipped a beat. Without hesitation, she leapt into action, swinging through the trees at lightning speed. Her mind raced with worry — what had happened to her baby?

She followed his voice through the thick jungle and finally found him, his little head wedged tightly between the branches. Tears streamed down his furry cheeks.

“Oh, Kiki,” she whispered, her voice trembling. She carefully examined the branches, trying not to panic herself. Other monkeys began to gather, watching silently, hoping to help.

Momo gently held Kiki’s small paws. “Don’t move too much, sweetie. I’m going to get you out.”

She tried pulling the branches apart, but they wouldn’t budge. The bark was old and gnarled, but too strong for her to break alone. Seeing her struggle, a few elder monkeys stepped forward. One of them, a wise old monkey named Babu, had seen something like this before.

“We need to work together,” he said calmly. “These branches can be loosened if we push from opposite sides.”

With teamwork and determination, the monkeys coordinated their efforts. Momo soothed Kiki as Babu and two strong monkeys pushed and pried the branches apart. Inch by inch, they created just enough space for Momo to gently slide Kiki’s head back through.

With a sudden pop, he was free.

Cheers erupted through the trees as Momo pulled Kiki into her arms, hugging him tightly. She nuzzled his fur, tears of relief in her eyes. Kiki clung to her, too shaken to speak, but safe and grateful.

“Promise me something,” Momo said softly. “No more exploring alone, okay?”

Kiki nodded, his eyes wide. “I promise, Mama.”

From that day on, Kiki still explored, but he never wandered too far without telling his mom. He learned that adventure is fun — but even better when you have someone looking out for you.
