Monkey Bon Helps Moon Get Her Toy Back From the Puppy

Nearby, Bon, the curious and clever monkey known for his quick thinking, was swinging from tree to tree, watching the fun. He saw Moon giggling as she tossed her toy into the air and caught it again with ease.

But suddenly, a playful puppy named Rocky, who had been napping under a bush, woke up. Hearing the squeak of the toy, he bounded over with excitement. Before Moon could react, the energetic puppy jumped and snatched the toy right from her hands!

Moon gasped. “Hey! That’s mine!” she cried, chasing after Rocky. But the puppy thought it was all a game. He ran in circles, wagging his tail and dodging her at every turn. Moon was small, and Rocky was too fast.

Tears started to well up in Moon’s eyes. She stopped chasing and sat on a rock, sniffling quietly. That’s when Bon appeared.

“Moon, what’s wrong?” he asked, concerned.

“The puppy took my toy and won’t give it back,” Moon said, wiping her eyes.

Bon looked at the scene: Rocky still prancing around with the red toy, playfully biting it and letting it squeak. He knew that Rocky didn’t mean to be mean — he just wanted to play too.

Bon had an idea. He picked a ripe mango from a nearby tree — Rocky’s favorite treat — and walked slowly toward the puppy.

“Hey Rocky,” Bon said gently, crouching down and holding out the mango. The puppy’s ears perked up. He dropped the toy and sniffed the air. With a happy bark, he trotted over to Bon and took the mango, tail wagging furiously.

While Rocky munched on the fruit, Bon picked up the squeaky banana toy and brought it back to Moon. “Here you go,” he smiled.

Moon’s face lit up. “Thank you, Bon! You’re the best!”

Bon laughed. “Sometimes, you just need to speak the puppy’s language.”

The two friends sat together and watched Rocky play with his mango. Soon, all three were laughing and rolling around together. The day ended not in tears, but in friendship — and with Moon’s beloved toy safely back in her hands.
