Monkey Bon was a curious little fellow who loved exploring the jungle and its nearby pond. He was full of energy, always climbing trees, chasing butterflies, and poking his nose into anything that moved. But sometimes, his playful ways got him into a bit of trouble.
One bright morning, Bon wandered over to the big pond, where a family of ducks lived. The pond was peaceful, with dragonflies buzzing, frogs croaking, and water lilies blooming. Bon spotted a shiny object floating near a patch of reeds — it was a colorful marble! Excited, he tiptoed closer and reached out to grab it.
But he didn’t know that the marble belonged to Ducky — the grumpy old duck who guarded the pond like it was his castle. As soon as Bon touched the marble, Ducky let out a loud “QUACK!” and flapped his wings in a fury.
Startled, Bon jumped back, but Ducky was already charging toward him. “QUACK! QUACK!” the angry duck snapped his beak and chased Bon around the pond, flapping and splashing water everywhere. Bon was quick, but Ducky was determined.
“Help!” Bon shouted, running toward the trees. But Ducky didn’t stop.
Just then, from the bushes nearby, a little brown puppy named Rocky appeared. He saw Bon being chased and barked loudly. Rocky was small, but he was brave. Without hesitation, he jumped in front of Bon, growling and wagging his tail protectively.
Ducky stopped in his tracks. He fluffed his feathers, looking at the brave puppy blocking his path. “QUACK!” he muttered, but this time, it was softer. Rocky stood firm, growling just enough to say, “Back off, duck.”
Bon peeked from behind Rocky. “Thank you, Rocky!” he whispered, still catching his breath.
Ducky, seeing that the puppy meant business, finally turned around and waddled back to the pond, grumbling under his breath.
Bon sat down and laughed nervously. “Wow, that duck really didn’t like me touching his stuff,” he said.
Rocky barked happily and licked Bon’s hand. It was his way of saying, “You’re safe now.”
From that day on, Bon learned not to mess with angry ducks or their treasures. And he also learned something more important — that even the smallest friend can be a big hero.
The next time Bon visited the pond, he brought Rocky along. And instead of touching things that weren’t his, he and Rocky just watched the ducks from a distance, sharing some mango slices and laughing about their wild adventure.
