Monkey BiBi and BR waited for Sơn to make lunch with delicious fried meat.

It was another bright and sunny afternoon in the peaceful countryside. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves, and the distant sound of birds singing filled the air. In a small shaded kitchen hut behind the main house, Sơn stood by the stove, focused on preparing a hearty lunch. The aroma of sizzling oil and seasoned meat wafted through the air, making it impossible for anyone nearby to ignore what was cooking.

Just outside the kitchen, two curious little monkeys—BiBi and BR—sat patiently on the wooden bench, their eyes wide and noses twitching with anticipation. They loved lunchtime, especially when Sơn cooked their favorite dish: crispy fried meat.

BiBi, always the more expressive of the two, kept turning her head toward the kitchen every few seconds, as if silently asking, “Is it ready yet?” Meanwhile, BR sat quietly, his tail swishing slowly as he tried to control his excitement. Despite their love for playing and jumping around, both monkeys knew that if they stayed calm and behaved well, they would be rewarded with a taste of Sơn’s delicious lunch.

Sơn peeked out from the kitchen and smiled at the sight of his furry companions waiting so patiently. “Almost ready, BiBi! BR, just a few more minutes,” he called out warmly. The monkeys responded with a couple of cheerful squeaks and claps, clearly understanding his words.

As the meat turned golden brown in the frying pan, Sơn added the final touches—sprinkling it with garlic and herbs. The smell was mouthwatering, even to those who weren’t monkeys. BiBi stood up on her hind legs, leaning forward to get a better whiff, while BR tapped the bench excitedly.

Finally, Sơn brought out a steaming plate of fried meat, placing it gently on the low table nearby. BiBi and BR wasted no time. They walked over politely and waited for Sơn to prepare their little portions. Each bite brought joy to their faces—tiny grunts of satisfaction, quick chews, and sparkling eyes. It was clear that this meal was a hit.
