Obi was still very young, full of energy but with a small appetite for only the sweetest and softest treats. BiBi knew that fresh wheat could be turned into flour, and with a bit of work, that flour would become warm, fluffy cakes that Obi would love.
Carrying a small basket, BiBi made her way into the wheat field. The stalks were tall, golden, and full of ripe grains. She carefully picked each head of wheat, making sure not to waste a single piece. Sometimes, a butterfly or a tiny bird would fly past, and BiBi would pause for a moment to enjoy the peaceful scenery. But she quickly went back to work — after all, Obi was waiting.
Once her basket was full, BiBi returned home. The first step was to separate the grains from the stalks. She tapped and rubbed the heads of wheat until the little kernels dropped into a bowl. It was slow work, but BiBi didn’t mind. She knew that every grain meant a tastier cake for Obi.
Next came grinding the wheat into flour. Using a small stone grinder, BiBi turned the golden kernels into fine, soft powder. The air filled with the warm, earthy smell of fresh flour. She smiled, imagining Obi’s happy face when he tasted the cakes.
When the flour was ready, BiBi mixed it with a little water, some ripe bananas for natural sweetness, and a drop of honey. She stirred the mixture until it was smooth and creamy. Then, she poured it into small round molds and set them over a gentle fire to cook.
While waiting, BiBi checked on Obi. The little monkey was playing nearby, chasing a leaf that danced in the wind. When Obi saw BiBi, he squeaked in excitement and followed her back to the cooking spot. Soon, the delicious smell of freshly baked cakes filled the air, making Obi’s nose twitch with curiosity.
Finally, the cakes were ready — soft, golden, and steaming with warmth. BiBi placed them on a leaf plate and handed one to Obi. The little monkey took a bite, his eyes lighting up with joy. He munched happily, swinging his tail and squealing with delight.
